Fitch Affirms South Korea’s ‘AA-‘ Credit Rating with Stable Outlook

Seoul - In a recent evaluation, Fitch Ratings has upheld South Korea's sovereign credit rating at "AA-", marking a period of stability and confidence in the nation's economic standing. The Finance Ministry announced the rating affirmation on Wednesday, emphasizing the country's consistent performance.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Fitch has preserved South Korea's rating at "AA-", the fourth-highest designation on its scale, since an upgrade in September 2012 from "A+". This stable outlook reflects the global credit appraiser's confidence in South Korea's economic resilience and financial stability, suggesting a positive assessment of the country's fiscal management and economic policies.
