SEOUL, - Hyundai Mobis Co. announced a third-quarter net income of 998.1 billion won (US$736.8 million) on Friday, marking a 78.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
According to a new release by Yonhap News Agency, the operating income for the July-September quarter stood at 690.2 billion won, a 19.8 percent rise from a year earlier. The revenue for the third quarter increased by 7 percent, reaching 14.23 trillion won.
The earnings surpassed market expectations. A survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency, had estimated an average net profit of 843.5 billion won for the quarter.
