SEOUL: BNK Financial Group Inc. announced its third-quarter net income as 212.3 billion won (US$157.1 million) on Tuesday, marking an 18.4 percent decline compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating income for the July-September quarter fell by 26.9 percent on-year to 267.5 billion won. Despite this, revenue increased by 13.2 percent, totaling 2.34 trillion won. These figures exceeded market expectations. The average estimate for net profit had been 209.3 billion won, according to a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data subsidiary of Yonhap News Agency.
