JCS Chief Reviews Military Readiness Amid North Korean Threats

SEOUL - Admiral Kim Myung-soo, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, conducted inspections of the military readiness at key Army and Air Force units on Friday, amidst ongoing concerns over North Korea's nuclear and missile capabilities.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Admiral Kim visited the Army Missile Strategic Command and the Air Force 8th Fighter Wing to assess their readiness posture during the first day of the extended Lunar New Year holiday. His visit to the missile command involved a thorough examination of the mission implementation system. Admiral Kim directed soldiers to maintain a rigorous missile response posture and to respond decisively to any provocations from adversaries.
