Seoul: The Korea-Africa Foundation has announced its plan to support 15 South Korean startups this year in their efforts to enter African markets. This initiative is part of a program designed to help startups expand their business operations overseas.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the foundation will select the startups by the end of March, following an application process. The focus will be on seven companies specializing in climate technologies, such as renewable energy, and eight others working on technologies that support aging populations.
The chosen companies will first undergo training in fundraising and other preparatory activities. They will then participate in a four-week acceleration program tailored to their respective African markets, providing them with the necessary tools and support to establish a foothold in the region.
