Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited mixed movements in its closing prices, with significant declines observed in the insurance and financial sectors while some companies recorded notable gains. HANWHA AEROSPACE closed at 1,195,000, marking an increase of 1,000. In contrast, companies like DONGSUH and PanOcean saw declines, closing at 27,450 and 5,280, respectively.
According to Yonhap News Agency, DB INSURANCE experienced one of the most significant declines, closing at 183,100, a drop of 22,400. SamsungE and A also reported a decrease of 2,550, ending at 36,400. Among the financial entities, IBK and WooriFinancialGroup saw their prices decrease to 25,750 and 36,000, marking declines of 750 and 1,850, respectively.
Meanwhile, some companies registered gains. LOTTE SHOPPING saw an increase of 500, closing at 107,700. HYUNDAI ROTEM and KDHC also experienced upward movements, closing at 230,500 and 93,200, up by 10,500 and 1,600, respectively. HYUNDAIDEPTST recorded a rise of 1,100, closing at 110,000.
The market also noted significant declines in other sectors. SANIL ELECTRIC fell by 3,900 to close at 166,700, and Celltrion dropped by 3,500, ending at 238,500. AMOREPACIFIC and SK Innovation also reported decreases, closing at 151,400 and 127,700, down by 5,200 and 2,300, respectively.
On the other hand, HANWHA SYSTEMS saw a positive change, closing at 113,600 with an increase of 3,000. CSWIND and KOLON IND also gained, closing at 53,700 and 67,600, up by 1,000 and 500, respectively. LG CNS reported a slight increase, closing at 74,500, up by 200.
Despite the mixed results, the financial sector faced notable decreases, with HANAFINANCIALGR and Meritz Financial closing at 121,800 and 127,100, marking declines of 3,100 and 4,100, respectively. Other financial entities like iM Financial Group and BNK Financial Group also reported drops, closing at 18,390 and 19,930, down by 700 and 570, respectively.
