KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements with Notable Gains in Pharmaceutical and Retail Sectors


Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced mixed trading results with significant movements noted in the pharmaceutical and retail sectors. Among the companies, HanmiPharm saw a decrease in its share price, closing at 292,500 won, down by 1,000 won. Meanwhile, SD Biosensor’s shares decreased by 80 won, closing at 11,500 won.



According to Yonhap News Agency, Meritz Financial saw a positive shift with its shares rising to 113,600 won, marking an increase of 2,500 won. BNK Financial Group and iM Financial Group also experienced upward movements, with their shares closing at 11,250 won and 11,380 won, respectively. In retail, emart’s shares rose by 3,800 won, reaching 90,600 won, while DENTIUM’s shares increased by 1,400 won, closing at 66,600 won.



Other notable performances include KOLMAR KOREA, which saw its shares rise by 1,600 won to 86,600 won, and PIAM, whose shares increased by 90 won to 17,250 won. HANJINKAL, however, experienced a significant decrease, with its shares dropping by 9,900 won to close at 139,800 won. CHONGKUNDANG and Doosan Bobcat both reported modest gains, with their shares closing at 85,900 won and 48,000 won, respectively.



KRAFTON and HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC showed strong performances with KRAFTON’s shares increasing by 4,000 won to 373,500 won, and HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC gaining 11,500 won to close at 400,500 won. Meanwhile, HYBE reported a substantial increase, with its shares rising by 17,500 won to 302,000 won. Other companies such as GS Retail and KakaoBank also saw significant gains, with GS Retail’s shares up by 2,110 won to 17,650 won and KakaoBank’s shares increasing by 4,900 won to 29,150 won.
