Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a varied movement in closing prices, with several firms experiencing declines while others observed gains. Key players such as HYUNDAIDEPTST and SeAH Steel Holdings showed contrasting performances in the stock market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HYUNDAIDEPTST closed at 108,000, marking a decrease of 4,000. Meanwhile, SeAH Steel Holdings reported an increase, closing at 174,300, up by 1,700. Other companies such as GS Retail and ISUPETASYS saw declines of 1,050 and 10,600, respectively, in their closing prices.
Hanssem and F and F also faced downward trends, closing at 32,650 and 79,000 with declines of 1,350 and 2,500. YoungoneHoldings experienced a slight drop, closing at 197,800, down by 500. HDKSOE ended the day at 400,000, down by 10,000, while HANWHA SOLUTIONS and HANKOOK and COMPANY saw declines of 2,050 and 550, respectively.
KIA CORP. faced a significant drop of 7,600, closing at 154,900. Daesang and SANIL ELECTRIC also ended lower, closing at 19,830 and 245,500 with declines of 370 and 13,000. ORION Holdings and ASIA HOLDINGS observed decreases, closing at 25,000 and 226,000, down by 900 and 1,500, respectively.
SBHC and KCC reported declines of 4,100 and 22,500, closing at 71,400 and 499,500. Similarly, SKBP and Daewoong experienced declines, with closing prices at 93,000 and 20,250, down by 2,500 and 100. TaekwangInd closed at 994,000, down by 20,000.
However, there were some gains observed. KAL increased by 250, closing at 25,800. LOTTE and GS showed upward movements, closing at 27,400 and 75,500, up by 600 and 700. LIG Defense and Aerospace saw a notable increase of 23,000, closing at 862,000.
HANAFINANCIALGR closed at 115,300, up by 1,100, while HANWHA LIFE increased by 130, closing at 5,800. On the other hand, SK Innovation, AMOREPACIFIC, and FOOSUNG experienced declines of 3,700, 500, and 200, closing at 119,600, 119,900, and 11,880.
OCI Holdings and KOREA ZINC faced significant drops, closing at 294,500 and 1,374,000, down by 23,500 and 46,000. LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp and SamsungHvyInd ended lower, closing at 82,000 and 28,550 with declines of 2,100 and 1,000, respectively. HMM closed at 19,820, down by 140.
