Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with notable increases in several key stocks, reflecting a positive movement in the South Korean market. Hyundai Elevator rose by 1,700 to close at 88,000, while Mobis saw an increase of 9,500, bringing its closing price to 402,000. HANWHA AEROSPACE also experienced a jump, closing at 1,400,000, up by 65,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SAMSUNG EPIS HOLDING ended the day at 540,000, marking an increase of 24,000. Despite the overall positive trend, some stocks saw declines, including S-1, which decreased by 200 to close at 86,900. Meanwhile, KUMHOTIRE saw a slight drop of 30, ending at 6,220.
Other significant gains were observed in the stocks of Hanchem and POSCO FUTURE M, which increased by 3,500 and 6,100, closing at 282,500 and 202,500, respectively. LG Corp. and SAMSUNG SDS also saw upward trends, with LG Corp. closing at 88,800, up 1,300, and SAMSUNG SDS climbing 2,400 to end at 159,500.
CJ LOGISTICS and DOOSAN were among the top performers, with CJ LOGISTICS closing at 112,100, up by 3,000, and DOOSAN increasing significantly by 99,000 to close at 1,250,000. On the contrary, SamsungEandA and LG CNS saw declines, closing at 33,700 and 62,500, respectively.
Overall, the session reflected a robust performance in the market, with several companies experiencing gains across various sectors.
