Seoul:The KOSPI 200 index experienced notable declines with several major stocks closing lower. Key companies such as Samsung Electronics Mechanical and Hanwha Aerospace were among those witnessing significant drops in their stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Electronics Mechanical ended at 1,155,000, down 15,000, while Hanwha Aerospace saw a substantial decrease, closing at 799,000, down 106,000. Other companies also faced declines; Hyundai Rotem dropped 13,800 to close at 86,900, and CSWIND fell 7,450 to 47,250.
Meanwhile, a few companies managed to buck the trend. ORION Holdings and GS Retail showed gains, closing 450 and 550 up, respectively. However, the majority of companies, including LG Energy Solution and SKC, saw decreases of 18,000 and 8,000 respectively. This widespread decline highlights the volatile nature of the current market conditions.
