Accra:Cheong Wa Dae President Lee Jae Myung has conferred appointment certificates on several key officials, including the new chief of the Serious Crime Investigation Agency, as well as the finance and defense ministers.
According to Yonhap News Agency, a total of seven minister-level officials received their certificates during a ceremony. Among those appointed was Kim Ji-yong, who will lead the newly established Serious Crime Investigation Agency.
Other appointments included Finance Minister Lee Hyoung-il, Defense Minister Kang Shin-chul, and Land Minister Hong Jee-sun. Additionally, Song Doo-hwan was appointed chair of the special investigation committee for the 2022 deadly crowd crush incident in Seoul's Itaewon district.
