NewJeans Fans Protest Agency Chief in Seoul

SEOUL - On Wednesday, fans of the K-pop group NewJeans, known as Bunnies, organized a protest outside the Hybe Corporation's headquarters in Seoul. The protest involved a truck displaying electronic billboards with messages expressing dissatisfaction with Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, a sub-label of Hybe.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the electronic billboard criticized Min's management and her interactions with other artists, urging her to stop using the group for personal agendas. The conflict between Min and Hybe escalated following accusations from Min that ILLIT, a new girl group from another Hybe subsidiary, mimicked NewJeans' style, which she claims as her creative product. Min responded officially to an audit initiated by Hybe, which questioned her and her aides' intentions toward managerial control. Hybe has remained tight-lipped about the specifics of Min’s response, citing legal reasons.
