Nvidia Executive to Hold Key Talks with LG Electronics on Robotics Collaboration

Seoul: Madison Huang, a senior director at Nvidia Corp. and the daughter of CEO Jensen Huang, is set to visit LG Electronics Inc.'s robotics hub in South Korea on Tuesday for a closed-door meeting with senior officials. The visit signifies the ongoing cooperation between Nvidia and LG Electronics in the fields of artificial intelligence infrastructure and robotics.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the discussions are expected to concentrate on advancements in robotics, specifically at LG Electronics' data factory currently under construction in southern Seoul. This facility is being developed to enhance the capabilities of humanoid robots as part of LG's strategic infrastructure platform.

Last week, LG Electronics revealed plans to introduce a next-generation humanoid robot capable of bipedal walking by the first quarter of 2027. This development is based on Nvidia's robotics platform, underscoring the depth of the partnership between the two companies.

In addition, LG Electronics announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding at Nvidia's headquarters in Santa Clara, California. The signing ceremony was attended by LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, further solidifying the collaboration between the tech giants.
