Ostrich Escapes and Roams Streets of Seongnam Before Capture

SEONGNAM, South Korea — An ostrich created an unusual spectacle in Seongnam, south of Seoul, on Tuesday morning after escaping from an ecological park. The bird was seen running through the streets, prompting a swift response from local authorities.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the ostrich was spotted at 9:30 a.m. roaming on a road in Seongnam. Teams of police and firefighters were deployed to the scene, and they successfully captured the ostrich at a nearby factory building site at 10:25 a.m. There were no reports of injuries or property damage during the incident. The authorities stated that the ostrich was safely returned to the ecological park from which it is believed to have escaped.
