Presidential Chief of Staff Delivers Lee’s Letter to UAE President

Abu dhabi: President Lee Jae Myung's chief of staff announced on Thursday that he met with United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during his visit to the Middle Eastern nation, delivering a personal letter from President Lee.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kang Hoon-sik, who traveled to the UAE as a special envoy for strategic economic cooperation, shared in a Facebook post that he paid a courtesy call on the UAE president in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. During this meeting, he handed over Lee's letter, which conveyed Lee's intention to enhance bilateral cooperation.

In November, President Lee and Sheikh Mohamed engaged in summit discussions in Abu Dhabi, focusing on expanding cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, the defense industry, nuclear energy, and other sectors.

Kang also reported holding discussions on the same day with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of Abu Dhabi's Executive Affairs Authority. Their talks aimed at addressing follow-up measures from the leaders' summit and planning for the UAE president's future visit to South Korea.

This recent interaction follows approximately a month after Khaldoon Al Mubarak's visit to South Korea, where he met with President Lee as a special envoy. Kang is scheduled to return home later on Thursday, concluding his three-day visit.
