Kang scored 158.75 points across three runs, finishing third behind Yang Wenlong of China, who scored 193.25 points. The snowboarders’ final scores were determined by combining their two highest scores from three runs.
This marked Kang’s second bronze medal of the competition, following his performance in the men’s slopestyle on Saturday. South Korea won seven gold medals on Saturday and added four more on Sunday, achieving their target of securing at least 11 gold medals.
Looking ahead, South Korea aims to secure more medals in speed skating on Tuesday, the final day at the oval. The men’s and women’s curling teams began their round-robin phase on Sunday, with sights set on the gold medal matches scheduled for Friday, the concluding day of the Asian Games. Lee Chae-un, who won gold in the men’s snowboard slopestyle on Saturday, will compete for another gold in the halfpipe event, with qualifications on Wednesday and the final on Thursday.
