Seoul - Seoul has been chosen as the venue for the 2024 Asia's 50 Best Restaurants awards, according to an announcement from the city government on Sunday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, The prestigious awards ceremony, scheduled for the last week of March 2024, will feature a list of the top 50 restaurants in Asia and is expected to attract around 800 gastronomy experts from around the world. The specific date and venue for the event will be announced later by 50 Best, the Britain-based organizer of the awards. In this year's list, four South Korean restaurants were included, highlighting the country's growing prominence in the culinary world. City officials anticipate that hosting the event will significantly boost the awareness of Korean cuisine and promote food tourism in Seoul, further enhancing the city's reputation as a culinary destination.
