Shifts in South Korean Bond Yields as of July 19, 2024

SEOUL — South Korean bond yields saw notable changes in the latest trading session, reflecting slight increases across several maturities.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Today, the 1-year Treasury bond (TB) yield increased by 1.4 basis points to 3.216%, and the 2-year TB yield rose by 2.9 basis points to 3.144%. Similarly, the 3-year TB yield went up by 1.6 basis points to 3.074%. The 10-year TB experienced a rise of 1.8 basis points, bringing it to 3.156%. In the municipal sector, the 2-year municipal bond (MSB) yield increased by 1.5 basis points to 3.126%, and the 3-year corporate bond (CB) rated AA- climbed by 1.2 basis points to 3.525%. However, the 91-day certificate of deposit (CD) yield remained unchanged at 3.520%.

These movements reflect ongoing fluctuations in the South Korean bond market, influenced by various economic factors.
