SEOUL — South Korea's Finance Minister assured that the economic ties between South Korea and the United States will remain robust regardless of the outcome of the forthcoming U.S. presidential election.
According to Yonhap News Agency, who spoke at an external economic consultation in Seoul, the longstanding alliance between the two nations underpins their economic relationship, which will persist irrespective of the U.S. election results. During the meeting, which also reviewed developments from China's latest Communist Party congress, Choi emphasized the importance of monitoring U.S. electoral outcomes and their potential economic impacts due to South Korea's significant economic ties abroad. Experts at the meeting urged the government to prepare for shifts in U.S. policy towards China, regardless of whether the Democrats or Republicans win the election.
