According to Yonhap News Agency, Park Hye-jeong is set to compete in the women's heaviest weight class, the +81 kilograms, in weightlifting. Although she faces stiff competition from China's Li Wenwen, the defending champion and world record holder, Park's national records suggest she is a strong contender for the silver medal. Meanwhile, in the women's modern pentathlon, world champion Seong Seung-min and three-time Olympian Kim Sun-woo are both in pursuit of their first Olympic medals, marking a significant moment as no South Korean woman has previously medaled in this event.
