Seoul:South Korean President Lee Jae Myung congratulated Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on his reelection for a fourth term, expressing his delight over the victory.
According to Yonhap News Agency, President Lee conveyed his congratulations through his X account, following Lula's success in the presidential election runoff. Lee referred to Lula as "a special friend and comrade" and expressed confidence in Lula's ability to fulfill public trust and expectations, encouraging him to advance Brazil's future.
President Lee also expressed a desire for another meeting with President Lula. The two leaders have developed a personal bond over their shared experiences as former child laborers, having met in person on several occasions.
