Accra:The SSG Landers announced that pitcher Pedro Avila will return for at least one more season following his impressive performance in the 2026 season.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the team revealed that Avila's new contract could extend up to two years, with further details to be released at a later date.
Avila joined the Landers in July as a replacement for Anthony Veneziano. Over 14 starts, he achieved a record of 9-2 with a 1.44 ERA and struck out 93 batters in 93 2/3 innings. The Venezuelan right-hander led the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) by throwing two complete games. He delivered 13 quality starts, pitching at least six innings with three or fewer earned runs in those games, and did not allow an earned run in seven of his starts.
