Stable Energy Supplies in South Korea Amid Iran-Israel Conflict, Says Ministry

SEOUL – Despite recent missile and drone strikes by Iran against Israel, South Korea’s Ministry of Industry announced Monday that the nation's supply of crude oil and liquefied natural gas remains stable.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the attacks, which were a response to an Israeli airstrike on an Iranian diplomatic site in Syria, have not disrupted South Korea's energy imports. However, with a significant portion of its oil sourced from the Middle East, the government is maintaining a high alert status. "We are prepared for all potential scenarios and will respond proactively to safeguard our national energy security," stated Industry Minister Ahn Duk-geun, emphasizing ongoing collaboration with industry stakeholders to monitor the situation closely.
