SEOUL — A fatal incident occurred on Monday morning near Uiwang, south of Seoul, involving a person who was struck and killed by a train after entering the tracks illegally. The accident took place at 7:57 a.m. between Uiwang Station and Dangjeong Station, disrupting Seoul-bound services on Subway Line 1.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the identity of the deceased was not immediately available, and the section of the track was closed temporarily for investigation and recovery, causing delays in train services. Restoration of normal operations is anticipated to take additional time.
