Variations in KOSPI 200 Closing Prices Reflect Diverse Market Movements

SEOUL - The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) 200 witnessed mixed trends in the closing prices of various stocks.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Youngone Corp experienced a drop of 150 points, closing at 46,700. In contrast, GKL saw an increase, rising by 50 points to settle at 14,120. Significant declines were also observed in CSWIND, which fell by 900 points to 51,900, and HanmiPharm, dropping 1,500 points to 303,000.

On the positive side, SD Biosensor rose by 370 points to 11,320, and KOLON IND increased by 150 points to 43,600. Meritz Financial, however, recorded a decrease of 1,300 points, closing at 54,400.

BNK Financial Group and DGB Financial Group both saw modest gains, each rising by 20 points to close at 7,130 and 8,350, respectively. emart ended on a high note, increasing by 400 points to 77,900.

Other notable changes included a decrease of 200 points in HANKOOK TIRE & TECHNOLOGY, closing at 44,800, and a drop of 450 points in KOLMAR KOREA, ending at 48,400. CHONGKUNDANG, however, moved upwards by 700 points to 126,200.

SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS reported a significant decline, dropping 12,000 points to close at 709,000. In contrast, Netmarble enjoyed an increase, rising by 1,200 points to 55,500.

Some companies, such as HD HYUNDAI and BGF Retail, remained unchanged in their closing prices.

The KOSPI 200's diverse price movements highlight the varying performances of leading South Korean companies in the current economic climate.
