SEOUL—Samsung Biologics Co. announced a 72 percent increase in its second-quarter net income, reaching 318 billion won ($229.8 million), reflecting robust growth in its financial performance.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the significant increase in net income is accompanied by a 71.4 percent rise in operating income to 434.5 billion won for the period from April to June. Samsung Biologics also reported a 33.6 percent increase in revenue, totaling 1.15 trillion won. The results exceeded average financial forecasts, with the operating profit surpassing the average estimate by 46.0 percent, as noted by Yonhap Infomax.
