BigHit Music Urges BTS Fans to Avoid Military Enlistment Sites for Safety

Seoul – BigHit Music, the agency representing K-pop group BTS, has requested fans to refrain from visiting military boot camps during the upcoming enlistment of the group's remaining four members. RM and V are scheduled to enlist on December 11, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on December 12, as part of South Korea's mandatory military service for all able-bodied men.

According to Yonhap News Agency, a K-pop fan community platform, RM and V will follow individual enlistment procedures, while Jimin and Jungkook will enlist together. BigHit Music emphasized that there would be no official events at the military recruit training centers on the days of their enlistment, and requested fans to avoid these sites to prevent potential safety issues due to overcrowding.

The agency encouraged fans to offer their support and good wishes internally, highlighting the importance of safety during this period. Jin, J-Hope, and Suga, the other members of BTS, have already begun their military service. RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are expected to complete their service and be discharged by June 2025.

During a live talk streamed on Weverse, the four members expressed eagerness to reunite as a complete group. Jungkook mentioned their desire to return quickly and their readiness for a fresh start without regrets. V shared his anticipation of learning new things during the service, while Jimin reassured fans of their imminent return and brighter days ahead.

RM reiterated the plea for fans not to visit their enlistment sites, respecting the families of other recruits. He expressed excitement for the stories and energy they will bring back, hinting at BTS's future plans post-service.

In December last year, Jin was the first BTS member to begin his military service. J-Hope and Suga followed, serving as drill instructors and social service agent, respectively. BTS has promised fans a reunion in 2025 after all members have completed their military duties.
