Former South Korean President Moon Jae-in to Release Memoir

Seoul, South Korea - Former President Moon Jae-in is set to publish a memoir later this month, his first since leaving office in May 2022, announced Gimm-Young Publishers on Wednesday. The memoir, titled "From the Periphery to the Center," will be available from May 20 and features a question-and-answer format with Choi Jong-kun, who served as vice minister of foreign affairs during Moon's presidency.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the memoir is expected to delve into key diplomatic events from Moon's tenure, including his summit meetings with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and former U.S. President Donald Trump. The book aims to provide readers with behind-the-scenes stories from these and other significant diplomatic interactions. Additionally, it will reflect on the successes, failures, and regrets of Moon's foreign policy and security strategies. The memoir will also offer Moon's perspectives on the current international and inter-Korean situations, as well as his hopes and advice for future developments.
