Korean Film “The Roundup” to Feature at 74th Berlin International Film Festival

SEOUL — "The Roundup: Punishment," also known as "Beom-Joe-do-si 4," a Korean action comedy, has been officially invited to participate in the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, as confirmed by the festival organizers on Monday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the film, starring Ma Dong-seok (also known as Don Lee) in the lead role of a hard-hitting cop Ma Seok-do, will be showcased in the special gala section. "The Roundup" is the latest sequel in a popular action series.

Additionally, "Circle," an animated short directed by Joung Yu-mi, has been invited to compete in the shorts category. Meanwhile, the documentary "Doesarananeun moksori," which presents interviews with Koreans affected by Japan's colonial rule, has secured a spot in the forum special section of the festival.

The Berlin International Film Festival is scheduled to take place from February 15 to 25 this year, highlighting a diverse range of cinematic works from around the globe.
