KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements in Key Stocks

SEOUL - The KOSPI 200 index, a key barometer of the South Korean stock market, displayed a varied performance in its latest closing price list, showcasing a mix of gains and losses across different sectors.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the official closing price list, notable movements were seen in several companies. Hansae experienced a decrease of 50 points, settling at 21,600. In contrast, Youngone Corp saw an increase of 50 points, reaching 45,950. CSWIND witnessed a decline of 400 points, closing at 52,400. Other notable changes included a drop of 40 points for GKL, ending at 13,160, and a decrease of 200 points for KOLON IND, which closed at 42,300. HanmiPharm stood out with a significant rise of 8,500 points, closing at 315,500.

Meritz Financial and BNK Financial Group also saw divergent trends. Meritz Financial increased by 500 points, closing at 56,500, while BNK Financial Group fell by 10 points to 7,120. DGB Financial Group also experienced a drop, decreasing by 40 points to end at 8,420. emart remained stable with no change, closing at 74,900.

In the technology sector, HANKOOK TIRE & TECHNOLOGY rose by 550 points, while KOLMAR KOREA jumped by 1,350 points, closing at 49,550. PIAM, however, saw a decrease of 400 points, finishing at 29,900. HANJINKAL and CHONGKUNDANG had contrasting fates, with HANJINKAL dropping 1,100 points to 51,500, while CHONGKUNDANG increased by 4,700 points, closing at 126,200.
