Seoul:The KOSPI 200 index reflected notable declines in several major stocks, with many companies experiencing a drop in their closing prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, key companies such as Samsung Biologics and HanmiPharm saw substantial decreases. Samsung Biologics closed at 1,219,000 won, down by 58,000 won, while HanmiPharm ended at 480,500 won, decreasing by 53,500 won.
Other companies like HD Hyundai and Krafton also faced declines. HD Hyundai's share price dropped by 10,000 won to 179,500 won, and Krafton saw a decrease of 13,600 won, closing at 186,900 won. HL MANDO and Doosan Bobcat also reported decreases in their stock prices, closing at 44,450 won and 53,200 won, respectively.
Despite the overall downturn, some companies recorded gains. DoubleUGames rose by 400 won to close at 57,700 won, while MIWON SC increased by 2,900 won to reach 129,200 won. ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL also saw a rise, with shares up by 1,300 won, closing at 80,700 won.
The financial sector was not spared, with Meritz Financial and BNK Financial Group experiencing declines. Meritz Financial closed at 127,300 won, down by 3,100 won, and BNK Financial Group ended at 15,310 won, a decrease of 170 won.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index witnessed a challenging session, with more companies recording losses rather than gains.
