SEOUL - Krafton Inc. announced on Wednesday a substantial 30.5 percent rise in its first-quarter net profit, reaching 348.6 billion won (approximately US$256 million). This performance surpasses the prior year's figures and market predictions.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the operating profit for the quarter stood at 310.5 billion won, up from 283 billion won a year earlier, while sales increased by 23.6 percent to 665.9 billion won. Analyst expectations had anticipated a lower net profit of 204.7 billion won, as surveyed by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency, indicating that the company significantly outperformed market forecasts.
