The partnership was formalized through a memorandum of understanding that includes joint development efforts in open radio access network and ultra-wideband wireless technologies, aiming to position both companies as leaders in the future 6G market, which is anticipated to emerge around 2030.
According to Yonhap News Agency, head of KT's network research center, the collaboration with Nokia is set to enhance KT's capabilities in developing cutting-edge telecommunications technologies linked to next-generation cloud and artificial intelligence systems.
