Mercedes-Benz Leads in South Korea’s Imported Car Sales for April

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - Mercedes-Benz has surpassed BMW to become the leading seller of imported cars in South Korea in April, as reported by the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association on Tuesday. The total newly registered imported cars reached 21,560 units in April, marking a 3.1 percent increase from the previous year, though this was a 14.7 percent decrease from March.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Mercedes-Benz led last month's sales with 6,683 units, benefiting from resolved supply issues linked to earlier Red Sea tensions. BMW, the leader for the first quarter, followed with 5,750 units. Tesla ranked third, selling 1,722 units. In terms of specific models, Mercedes-Benz's E-class topped sales with 2,081 units, while other brands like Volvo, Lexus, and Toyota also reported sales figures.
