North Korea Denounces U.S. Military Support to Israel Against Hamas

SEOUL — North Korea has levied accusations against the United States for "egregious war crimes" related to the massacre of Arabs, attributing this to U.S. military backing of Israel in its conflict with Hamas, as per a statement released on Friday.

The North's Korean Jurists Committee, in a statement written in English, contended that while the U.S. publicly advocates for de-escalation, it covertly supports Israel's aggressive military forays into the Gaza Strip.

The committee's statement criticized the U.S. for its "flagrant double standards" and proposed that the U.S. should be indicted by the International Criminal Court and removed from the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Pyongyang has consistently expressed support for Hamas in the ongoing strife and has identified the U.S. as a primary instigator in Middle Eastern affairs.

During a recent parliamentary review, South Korea's national intelligence agency indicated indications that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has instructed his officials to devise strategies for delivering extensive support to Palestine.

Additionally, North Korea's UN ambassador, Kim Song, repudiated claims of North Korea supplying arms to Hamas, describing such allegations as unfounded and accusing the U.S. of attempting to divert blame for the Middle Eastern conflict onto another state.
