SEOUL — Samsung CandT Corp. disclosed on Wednesday that its net profit for the year 2023 rose by 6.8 percent to 2.71 trillion won (approximately US$2 billion), as outlined in a regulatory filing. The company experienced a growth in operating profit, reaching 2.87 trillion won from the previous year's 2.52 trillion won. However, annual sales witnessed a decrease of 2.9 percent, settling at 41.89 trillion won.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the increase in net profit and operating profit underscores a favorable performance amidst challenging market conditions, despite the slight decline in sales revenue.
