Seoul Expresses Gratitude for Multinational Evacuation Assistance from Gaza

SEOUL – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Seoul recognized the collective efforts of neighboring countries on Friday for their assistance in evacuating a South Korean family from the Gaza Strip into Egypt amidst escalating conflict.

According to Yonhap News Agency, foreign ministry spokesperson Lim Soo-suk, the South Korean government is particularly thankful to Qatar for its mediation, which was pivotal in facilitating the evacuation. The grateful acknowledgment also extended to Egypt and Israel for their roles in ensuring the safe passage of the family of five, which included a South Korean woman, her husband of Palestinian descent, and their three children through the Rafah border on Thursday.

The ministry highlighted the successful evacuation of other foreigners and critically injured Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, commending the collaborative international effort. It also called for sustained aid and swift delivery of humanitarian support to civilians still in the region.
