SK Innovation and Samsung Biologics Register Strong Gains in KOSPI 200

SEOUL — The KOSPI 200 index closed with notable changes as several companies posted significant movements in their stock prices.

According to Yonhap News Agency, SK Innovation surged by 7,200 won to end the day at 127,600 won, while Samsung Biologics rose by 9,000 won, finishing at 712,000 won. HanmiPharm also saw a considerable increase, up 8,500 won to close at 294,000 won.

Despite the gains for some, KB Financial Group experienced a decrease, dropping 300 won to 51,000 won. Youngone Corp saw a decline of 1,700 won to 52,900 won. Emart also moved downward by 800 won to 73,500 won.

CSWIND, on the other hand, climbed 450 won to 45,600 won. DoubleUGames edged up by the same margin to 44,900 won. SKC made one of the more significant jumps, up 7,400 won to 83,300 won.

Conversely, GKL and KOLON IND saw declines, with GKL down 750 won to 14,740 won and KOLON IND marginally down by 50 won to 44,100 won.

The financial sector presented a mixed picture. Meritz Financial Group increased by 200 won to 51,200 won, whereas BNK Financial Group and DGB Financial Group fell by 100 won and 90 won, respectively.

In the technology sector, SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS led with strong gains, while SamsungElecMech also saw an uptick, increasing 4,500 won to 132,500 won.

The trading session witnessed a variety of outcomes, reflecting a dynamic day on the Korean stock market.
