South Korea and Italy Launch Year of Cultural Exchange with Premier Performances and Exhibitions

SEOUL: South Korea and Italy have inaugurated a year of cultural exchange, starting with a series of performances and exhibitions that will showcase Korean culture across major Italian cities throughout 2024-25.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the festivities began with a traditional Korean music and dance performance, "Dream of the Crown Prince," at Rome's Teatro Argentina. The event, attended by South Korean Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yu In-chon, marks the beginning of a comprehensive cultural program created in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Upcoming highlights include an exhibition by acclaimed South Korean sculptor Park Eun-sun and a Korean content business and consumer trade event, each designed to deepen cultural ties and inspire creative exchange between the two nations.
