South Korea Deploys Advanced Satellite Communication System in Army Units

SEOUL – The South Korean government has successfully deployed an upgraded satellite communication system to Army units, primarily in rear areas, to enhance their operational capabilities. This development was announced by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) on Wednesday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, DAPA revealed that the project to enhance the military command, control, communication, computer, and intelligence (C4I) system took 17 months to develop. The new system, operational in Army units since last month, is expected to significantly strengthen the combat capabilities of military personnel in rear areas.
