South Korean Bond Yields Rise Across Various Tenors on October 23, 2023

SEOUL - The yields on South Korean Treasury Bonds (TB) and other financial instruments witnessed changes in the trading session of October 23, 2023.

According to a new release by Yonhap News Agency, the yield on the 1-year Treasury Bond (TB) increased by 1.2 basis points, moving from 3.749% in the previous session to 3.761% today. Similarly, the 2-year TB yield saw a hike of 1.6 basis points, rising from 3.942% to 3.958%. The 3-year TB yield increased by 2.2 basis points, going from 4.033% to 4.055%.

In the longer tenor, the 10-year TB yield also rose by 4.7 basis points, moving from 4.327% to 4.374%. Additionally, the yield on the 2-year Monetary Stabilization Bond (MSB) increased by 2.6 basis points, from 3.935% to 3.961%. The 3-year Corporate Bond with an AA- rating (CB AA-) observed a yield increase of 2.3 basis points, from 4.838% to 4.861%.

The 91-day Certificate of Deposit (CD) remained stable, with no change in yield, holding at 3.820%.
