SEOUL - The latest closing prices of the KOSPI 200 index displayed a range of ups and downs, indicating continued volatility in the South Korean stock market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Among the major shifts, LOTTE SHOPPING fell 5,400 to 75,600, and IBK saw a slight increase of 10, closing at 11,740. DONGSUH dropped 590 to 18,070, while SamsungEng inched up 50 to 28,000. SAMSUNG CandT declined 2,400 to 126,100, and PanOcean decreased by 75 to 3,625.
Some stocks like KIWOOM and CheilWorldwide experienced significant drops, with KIWOOM down 3,500 to 97,500 and CheilWorldwide falling 1,350 to 19,000. Conversely, NAVER and Kakao saw increases of 7,500 and 1,000, closing at 223,000 and 53,400, respectively.
Other notable changes included LG Display rising 140 to 12,390, while KTandG and LG Uplus experienced declines of 5,200 and 370, respectively. HANALL BIOPHARMA stood out with a substantial gain of 6,250, ending at 44,300.
Stable prices were observed for Doosan Bobcat at 49,750 and SKCHEM at 66,600, while other companies like ORION and ILJIN HYSOLUS showed mixed results.
