Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a congratulatory message to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on his recent reelection as president of the State Affairs Commission, as reported by North Korea's state media on Friday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Xi delivered the message on Thursday, emphasizing Beijing's commitment to strengthening the relationship between China and North Korea. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) highlighted Xi's reaffirmation of China's "unwavering" policy to safeguard, solidify, and advance the bilateral ties between the two nations.
Kim Jong-un's reelection followed the first session of North Korea's new Supreme People's Assembly earlier this week, where he was reappointed as president of state affairs. The event marks a continued alliance between the neighboring countries, underscored by Xi's message of support.
