Hanwha to Showcase Advanced Weapons Technologies at Saudi Defense Expo

SEOUL — Hanwha Group, a leading South Korean conglomerate with a diverse portfolio including energy and defense, announced on Sunday its plans to exhibit its latest arms technologies at the World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia this week.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the exhibition will feature cutting-edge developments from its defense industry affiliates, such as Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Ocean.

Key highlights include the engine for South Korea's domestically developed KF-21 fighter jet and an advanced airborne active electronically scanned array radar system. This radar technology is noted for its capability to detect, identify, and track multiple targets simultaneously, both in the air and on the ground.

The World Defense Show, hosted in Saudi Arabia, provides Hanwha with a significant platform to demonstrate its technological advancements in the defense sector. The company aims to explore opportunities for defense cooperation with various nations in the Middle East during the event.
