President Yoon Suk Yeol’s Approval Rating Stabilizes After Weeks of Decline

Seoul - After three weeks of continuous decline, President Yoon Suk Yeol's approval rating has shown slight improvement, according to a poll released by Realmeter on Monday. The survey indicated that Yoon's approval rating is currently at 30.3 percent, a marginal increase of 0.1 percentage point from the previous week, and still within the survey's margin of error.

The Realmeter poll, conducted among 2,004 adults from April 29 to May 3, also revealed that 65.5 percent of respondents disapproved of Yoon's performance, a decrease of 1.4 percentage points from the previous week. This polling period follows a significant drop in approval after the April 10 parliamentary elections, in which Yoon's People Power Party suffered a substantial defeat, securing only 108 seats compared to the 192 seats won by the opposition Democratic Party in the 300-member National Assembly.
