SEOUL, South Korean President Moon Jae-in will convene a National Security Council (NSC) session on Monday to assess the results of the Pyongyang-Washington summit in Hanoi and future steps, his office said.

The NSC meeting come amid renewed expectations of Moon's role in the tumultuous denuclearization and peace process after the two-day talks between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump suddenly concluded with no agreement last week.

Moon is credited with having initiated the process.
