SEOULPresident Moon Jae-in conferred state medals on retired Constitutional Court justices on Wednesday in recognition of their service to the country.
Lee Jin-sung, who served as chief justice, was awarded with the Mugunghwa Medal of the Order of Civil Merit, while four other former justices -- Kim Yi-su, Kim Chang-jong, Ahn Chang-ho and Kang Il-won -- were given the Blue Stripes of the Order of Service Merit.
Last year, the justices participated in the impeachment trial for ousted former President Park Geun-hye. They retired from the court on Oct. 19 after serving out their six-year terms.
