Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will implement a country focused training programme on Fostering Rural Leaders and Saemaeul Movement for 15 higher level government officials.

The programme will be held from September 6-19, 2015 and designed to share mutual experience of the two countries and understand various experiences and policies on Korean rural community development, policymaking for sustainable rural community, and improvement of the quality of life in rural community with sharing the know-how, successful experience and methodologies of Saemaul Undong.

On September 3, 2015, Choonki Sung, the Director General of KOICA Pakistan, attended an orientation session, held in KOICA Pakistan office, and urged participants to use their knowledge earned from the program and effectively apply it for the economic development of Pakistan.

He further asked participants to actively participate in the implementation of KOICA’s future projects and alumni associations’ activity upon their return.

Meanwhile, more than 1,000 Pakistan trainees have participated in KOICA’s training programs since 1992, and have been forging a strong cooperative partnership with KOICA through its alumni association.
