SEOUL, President Moon Jae-in will visit Singapore and Papua New Guinea later this month for annual regional summits involving the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and a meeting of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, his office said Monday.
Moon will visit Singapore on Nov. 13-16 for a series of ASEAN-related meetings, including the East Asia Summit, where he plans to emphasize the importance South Korea attaches to efforts to strengthen cooperation with East Asian nations, presidential spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom said.
Moon also plans to call for international support for his peace drive with North Korea.
Moon will then visit Papua New Guinea on Nov. 17-18 for this year's APEC summit, Kim said.
