SEOUL, Morocco's Prime Minster Saad Eddine El Othmani will visit South Korea next week to hold talks with Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon and attend an annual meeting of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Lee's office said Tuesday.

El Othmani will arrive on Sunday for a five-day visit at Lee's invitation.

Lee plans to hold talks with El Othmani and host a dinner for him on Monday. El Othmani also plans to meet with other senior officials and deliver a keynote speech at AfDB's annual meeting in the southeastern port city of Busan.

South Korea has maintained friendly relations with Morocco for decades, setting up a diplomatic mission in the country in 1962, its first in Africa. El Othmani's visit is expected to reconfirm the friendly, cooperative ties and promote substantial cooperation between the two countries, Lee's office said.
